The New Zealand striker has been signed by the Blades after her short spell with Lewes in the 23/24 season, where she scored on the final day of the season against London City Lionesses.
Hand has 27 senior caps for her country, in which she has scored eight goals. She represented her nation at the 2023 World Cup, along with the 2024 Olympic Games and has scored six goals this year so far.
The forward started her career with Eastern Suburbs back in 2015, before going over to the USA with a scholarship which saw her play for Colorado College Tigers until 2021. After this, she joined Aland United in Finland, where she scored 14 goals.
Sheffield United head coach Ash Thompson is delighted with the signing of Jacque hand, believing that she is a player with top level experience in an area that is key for the clubs progression.
“We’re really pleased to have brought in Jacqui for a variety of reasons. She is someone who knows this league but also has experience at the very top level, having played at a World Cup and an Olympic Games as recent as this summer. She’ll provide attributes we’ve been missing in our front line and we’re looking forward to working together.”
