Welsh international Lily Woodham will join Crystal Palace on loan from NWSL side Seattle Reign FC until the end of January 2025.
The club stated on their Instagram that Woodham has the “chance to get minutes” at Crystal Palace, which will help her to develop as a player. The west coast side are currently 10th in the league, with just 7 games left of the 2024 season.
Woodhams contract with the American side lasts until the end of the 2025 season. She previously played for, and captained, Reading, making almost 70 appearances for the club over 4 years.
She will play the first portion of the 2024-25 Women's Super League, before returning to the states to rejoin Seattle at the beginning of their preseason, ahead of the 2025 season.
She has made a total of 31 appearances for Wales, after joining the senior squad in 2020.
Lily becomes the Eagles 13th signing of the Summer Transfer Window, joining Welsh teammate Josie Green who signed with the club at the end of August. They will both link up with another Welsh international, Elise Hughes, who has been with the club since 2022.
Palace will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the opening weekend of the 2024/25 Women's Super League season, kicking off at 2pm at Gaughan Group Stadium.
The Eagles will play most of their games at the VBS Community Stadium, with select games being played at the clubs stadium Selhurst Park.
