Wolverhampton Wanderers will play Rugby Borough at home this weekend as both teams fight for the top spot of the WPL Northern Division table.
Currently, Wolverhampton are fourth in the table, joint on points with Burnley and Rugby Borough, Nottingham Forest taking the top spot with a 1 point difference.
Here is everything that you need to know before the game kicks off:
Wolverhampton’s last result saw the side winning 3-0 against Flyde Women as they compete for the Women’s National League Plate, whereas Rugby Borough lost 1-0 to Liverpool Feds in the first round of the WNL Cup.
This game will be played at New Bucks Head stadium in Telford, even though Wolverhampton's last match was moved to the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground due to a waterlogged pitch.
This will be a first time meeting for the two clubs, so fans are interested to see what the score line will be.
McNamara made a lot of changes to the starting lineup for Wolverhampton last week, making 7 changes including a debut for newly-recruited goalkeeper Charlotte Clarke. We could expect to see Fryer, Merrick and Johnson in the starting lineup.
As for Rugby borough, their lineup also changes frequently but we could expect to see Peterkin in goal alongside Mann in defence and Potts in midfield.
There is no live broadcast for this game as of yet, but you can buy tickets here.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Rugby Borough kicks off at 2pm [BST] on Sunday 06 October 2024.
