We are officially back in the Women’s Super League (WSL) 24/25 season after a break for the holiday period with West Ham facing Chelsea in game week eleven of the mighty WSL. Both teams are no stranger to this fixture with this being the eighteenth time they will face each other, with the most recent being in game week seventeen of the 2023/2024 season, where Chelsea gained the three points after a 2-0 win over the Hammers. Bompastor’s Blues are currently unbeaten in the league and hope to continue this reign against the Hammers.

Chelsea gains an early chance with a shot from Beever-Jones, but her shot is unfortunately blocked by Kinga Szemik .
Catarina Macario gains the opener for Chelsea in the 12th minute, with a left footed shot into the top corner, straight past Hammers keeper, Kinga Szemik. This is then followed up with what should’ve been an easy goal for the Blues but deflects it over the crossbar.
Chelsea gains a corner, which is crossed in by Sandy Baltimore into Mayra Ramirez, but her header is saved in the centre of the goal.
Erin Cuthbert doubles the score for the West London club, pouncing as West Ham struggle to obtain possession after a goal kick and driving her shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Seriena Piubel makes an attempt to gain one back for the Hammers, but scuffs her shot and doesn’t trouble Hannah Hampton and goes wide to the right.
Beever-Jones manages to gain a third for Chelsea just before half time, slapping her left footed shot into the top corner from just outside the box.
Half Time – Chelsea 3-0 West Ham
We start the second half with a West Ham substitution with Shekeira Martinez making her debut for the club, with Oona Siren leaving the field.
West Ham have a chance on goal just as the half starts with Katrina Gorry taking a shot but is just too high and flies over the crossbar.
West Ham concede a fourth from Chelsea, just six minutes into the second half with a shot from the left of the box into the high centre of the goal by Sandy Baltimore.
The Hammers number 18, Anouk Denton, makes an attempt to gain one back with a left footed shot from outside the box but only just misses to the left.
Chelseas attempt to gain a fifth via Rytting Kaneryd is unsuccessful as her shot from the right side of the box goes just too far to the right.
West Ham’s, Amber Tysiak assists Chelsea with an own goal, making it five for Chelsea.
Chelsea managed to gain sixteen corners throughout the game but seem to fail to convert from any of them.
