Aston Villa have announced the signing of former Arsenal goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo on a two-year contract.
D’Angelo made her WSL debut with Arsenal in January 2023 at the start of her 18-month contract with the Gunners. She then went on to make a further 14 appearances across all competitions.
The 31-year-old joins her international teammate, Adriana Leon, who she is currently competing with in the Paris 2024 Olympic campaign. D’Angelo has received 16 international caps during her career.
Sabrina has a wealth of experience under her belt with some of her former clubs including North Carolina Courage, Toronto Lady Lynx and Vittsjö GIK.
Lee Billiard, Head of Women’s Football said: “We are excited to bring Sabrina to Aston Villa Football Club.
“She is an experienced goalkeeper that will help drive standards and create great competition within the goalkeeping unit.
“With her history of winning at both domestic and international level, we believe Sabrina is a perfect fit for helping us move forward.”
D'Angelo fills the position of former Villa goalkeeper, Daphne Van Domselaar, who recently made the move to Arsenal.
