Manchester City’s Kerstin Casparij has penned a three-year contract with the club, keeping her in the Sky Blue shirt until 2027.

The defender first joined Manchester City in 2022 from the Dutch side FC Twente, where she made 45 appearances.
Since her arrival in Manchester, Casparij has been a crucial player for the side, making 66 appearances, scoring once and assisting 7 goals. Casparij has played every minute of Manchester City's Women's Super League campaign this season, and has been ranked the league's third-best defender with a pass accuracy of 90.2%.
"I want to win silverware. I want to develop and hopefully become a big name in the WSL. That's a big thing for me," the Netherland international said after her extension. Casparij also explained that the club “feels like home,” and that “City is the place to be.”
She also comments on her thoughts on the club, stating that “We’re growing massively and hopefully Therese [Sjogran, Director of Women’s Football] can help us with that as well.”
Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor says that Casparij is a “top-class player and top-class person to work with,” and has high hopes that the defender can “go on and become the best right-back in the world.”
