The 27-year-old Irish midfielder has made her departure from the Robins after signing for them in August of 2023.
Connolly, who also captained the side, made a total of 24 appearances for the club, providing 1 goal and 2 assists.
The captain wrote on Instagram: “It has been a pleasure to play for @bristolcitywomensfc this past year. It was always a dream of mine to captain a team in the WSL and I was privileged to carry that honour this past season. I can’t speak highly enough of the group of players I was able to step onto the pitch with week in week out.”
Connolly has previously played for Brighton and Hove Albion, where she made over 50 appearances.
She is also a crucial player in the Republic of Ireland squad, where she played every minute during the country's appearance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
