Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps has announced she is no longer remaining with the club upon the expiration of her contract.
The 31-year old joined the Red Devils in 2019, and has since gone on to achieve a variety of accolades wearing the red shirt, both for the club and personally.
Last season, Earps helped Manchester United make history as they lifted the FA Cup trophy for the first time in club history.
She has also won The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper for 2022 and 2023, the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Golden Glove, 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year and the 2023 BBC Women's Footballer of the Year.
Since joining the club five years ago, Earps has made 125 appearances in red, playing every league minute for the club.
In a statement released on her Instagram, Earps stated: “The club is about to undergo a period of transition, and unfortunately I don't feel it aligns with the timing of where I'm at in my career, therefore I think now is the right time to make a change and embark on a new challenge.”
This statement comes after Manchester United recently revealed they are moving the Women’s first team out of their training facilities and into portable cabins, providing the men with their space.
Former Manchester United captain Katie Zelem and winger Lucia Garcia also announced their departure earlier in the week.
According to Emma Sanders on twitter, Earps is expected to join French side, PSG, on a two-year deal.
