West Ham have confirmed that midfielder Jess Ziu has decided to commit her future to the club by signing a new long-term contract.
The 22-year old is set to enter her third season playing for the Hammers.
The Republic of Ireland international didn’t have an easy start when joining West Ham after sustaining an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury that had her sidelined for most of her debut season.
Since joining West Ham in the summer of 2022, Ziu has made 23 appearances in the claret and blue shirt and has established her position within Rehanne Skinner’s side for most of the 2023/24 season.
In a statement given to the club, Ziu revealed that: “It feels amazing to have extended my contract at West Ham United.
“I love being here. From the moment I walked through the gates at Chadwell Heath, I knew this was where I wanted to be.”
The midfielder is now the fourth player to extend her stay at the club, following in the paths of Dagný Brynjarsdóttir, Viviane Asseyi and Kirsty Smith.
