Eve Annets is a Cityzen.

Manchester City sign England youth keeper Eve Annets on a four year deal.

The 18 year old recently left Reading after the club announced their women’s team would be dropping down to Tier 5 as they could not be funded, making a total of 3 appearances for the club.

She has made 2 total appearances for England U-19, playing all 90 minutes in their 5-0 win over Denmark.

She joins senior England international Khiara Keating and Scotland number 1 Sandy MacIver as part of the goalkeeper union, and will presumably take the second goalkeeper spot while MacIver recovers from an ACL injury.

She spoke on Manchester City’s website, saying ‘City is a great club, and it’s probably one of the best in the world to be at for a youngster who wants to grow. There’s nothing better.’ She will remain with the club through the summer of 2028.

City take on Arsenal away at The Emirates during the opening weekend of the 24/25 WSL season. The North London club beat City at The Joie Stadium for the first time in 10 years during the penultimate game of the 23/24 season.

It will seemingly be a very competitive opening fixture, with Arsenal star Vivianne Miedema also joining the blues this transfer window.
