Nottingham Forest has announced that Head Coach Carly Davies has signed a new contract, extending her stay with the Club until June 2027.
Since joining Forest in August 2023, Davies has led the women's team to new heights, competing strongly at the top of the league table and achieving a historic run to the fifth round of the Women’s FA Cup—the team’s best performance in over a decade. Supported by owner Evangelos Marinakis, the Club has prioritized investment in women’s football, with Davies at the forefront of this transformation. Her leadership has brought over 30 victories and more than 140 goals, showcasing an exciting and effective playing style.
As the team transitions to a fully professional setup, the ambition to climb the league ladder under Davies’ guidance remains clear. With a coaching career that includes roles with the England pathway, West Bromwich Albion, and over 20 years of experience at Aston Villa as both player and coach, Davies brings a wealth of expertise to The City Ground.
Head of Women and Girls Football, Amber Wildgust said: “Carly has made a fantastic impact in a short time at the Club.
“We are extremely pleased with the progress on the pitch under her guidance, as she has developed an exciting, dynamic style of play in line with our new game model.
“As one of the brightest young coaches in the women's game, we are thrilled to offer her a contract extension and excited for the future ahead.”
Upon signing her new contract, Davies added: “‘We’ve done a lot of work over the last 14 months on the infrastructure of the women’s team, working closely with Amber and the directors of the Club. I’m excited that the Club have invested in me and see that we are going in the right direction – it’s a great privilege and honour.”
