Barcelona face Swedish side Hammarby at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on Wednesday October 16th. The game will be streamed on DAZN at 8pm (BST).
The 2024/25 Champions League marks Hammarby’s first appearance in the competition. They face current champions Barcelona.
Barcelona suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Joie Stadium during matchday 1, and it became the sides first loss in 6 months. Hammarby on the other hand beat SKN St. Polten 2-0 at their home in Stockholm, putting them top of Group D.
Barcelona are reigning Liga F and Champions League winners, only losing 2 games since early 2023. Hammarby are currently third in the Swedish Damallsvenskan, beating Vittsjo GIK 6-0 on the weekend.
Barcelona appeared to struggle in their game on Sunday against Espanyol, going 1-0 down during the first half. However the side ended up winning 7-1 with a hat trick from summer signing Ewa Pajor from Wolfsburg.
