Aston Villa Women take over Villa Park in 2024/25 season!

Aston Villa have announced that Villa Park will become the women’s main stadium for the 2024/25 season!

All eleven Women’s Super League (WSL) fixtures will be held at the stadium, marking a significant increase from the five games played here last season.

Villa Park has a capacity of 42,640 and can provide the best match-day experience for Aston Villa supporters.

However – it’s not only the fans that will benefit from this move.

Players and staff will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and changing rooms, which will hopefully help to improve their gameplay and help to solidify their position within the league.

Aston Villa will continue to play their Continental Cup and FA Cup fixtures at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

The Bescot Stadium has been home to the Villian’s since 2020 and will remain as their secondary stadium.

Villa’s head of women’s football, Lee Billiard,  has said: “This is another big step forward and represents a continuation of the progress of our women's programme at Aston Villa.

"Through the support and hard work of many departments across the football club, we have been able to show Villa Park is a commercially viable venue for us.

"In the times we have played there, especially over the last couple of seasons, it has always created a special matchday experience for everyone involved.”
