On Friday the 21st of February, Italy are set to take on Wales at the U-Power Stadium in Milan as part of the UEFA Women’s Nations League. The game will be broadcasted on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two Wales, with a 5:15pm kickoff (GMT).

Wales manager Rhian Wilkinson says she's “excited for the opportunity to show this team on the world stage.” The sides have never faced off before, with Italy being in League A group 4 during the 2023/24 Women's Nations League, placing second in their group, and Wales being in League A group 3, placing bottom of the group, leading to their relegation.
Italy are still without key players like Aurora Galli, who suffered an ACL injury at the beginning of the 24/25 season, and Wales see the return of Elise Hughes, who also suffered an ACl injury at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The Azzurre have confirmed they will wear their new women's exclusive away kit designed by Adidas, which features designs inspired by Italian culture and heritage, and Wales will be wearing their standard red home shirt.
The teams will face off a second time at the Swansea.com stadium in June, the final game before both sides head to Switzerland for the 2025 Women's European Championship. Italy have been drawn in Group B, where they will face Belgium, Portugal and Spain, and Wales have been drawn in Group D for their first ever international tournament, where they will face The Netherlands, France and England.
