Gabi Nunes Joins Aston Villa.

27-year-old Brazilian forward Gabi Nunes has made her departure from Levante UD Femenino and made her move to Aston Villa for £250,000, breaking the club's record.

Villa have signed Nunes on a two year deal with the option of a further year.

Nunes helped her national team to the 2024 Olympic games final, finishing second place and bringing home a silver medal. The forward made her first professional debut with Brazilian side Centro Olímpico in 2014, before having further spells with clubs such as Corinthians and Madrid CFF.

Aston Villa manager Robert de Pauw seems to be delighted with the record breaking signing, saying that when he first saw Gabi a few years ago he thought that she was a “technically gifted player who knows how to find the goal.”

He also commented on her playing style, saying that she is a player who knows how to play in tight areas, as well as arriving into the box and getting on the end of passes. Pauw also commented on her ability to play in several attacking positions and that she will contribute greatly to the club's continued development.

Everyone here at FootieFusion wishes Gabi the best at Aston Villa.
