Chelsea Crush Twente: A Six-Goal Masterclass Secures Knockout Spot

We are back in UEFA Women’s Champions League action with Chelsea facing FC Twente for the second leg of round 5 in group B.

The current aggregate score is 3-1 to Chelsea with goals for Chelsea from Beever-Jones, Hamano and Reiten and a goal from Van Dijk for Twente Vrouwen.
Sonia Bompastor’s Chelsea are currently on an unbeaten run in both the Women’s Super League (WSL) and their Champions League group stages campaign, they are hoping to continue this reign tonight against Netherlands Eredivisie Vrouwen club, FC Twente.
We start the first half with FC Twente kicking us off into the second leg of group B in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.
Twente take an early chance with Leonie Vliek taking a shot on goal but unfortunately rebounding off of Niamh Charles.
Chelsea starts off the scoring in the first two minutes with a goal from number 9, Catarina Macario with a second shot after her first was blocked.
Chelsea’s Mayra Rameriez attempts to double their advantage in the 6th minute from the left, but her shot is too far wide and the ball glides past the goal
Erin Cuthbert makes an attempt on goal from inside the box but her header lands too high and goes over the crossbar.
Twente attempt to gain an equaliser in the fifteenth minute but the shot from Lieske Carleer goes straight into the hands of Zecira Musovic which is rebounded off and defended by captain, Millie Bright
Twente gain a corner in the 24th minute which is shot into the box but lands in Musovic’s hands.
Twente are awarded a penalty after Hamano brings Charlotte Hulst down in the box. Which results in an equaliser shot into the bottom left corner, taken by number 10, Van Dooren in the 29th minute.
Chelsea gains their advantage back just a minute later with a shot by Oriane Jean-Francois from just outside the box to the left and burying it into the bottom right corner, straight past Twente goalkeeper, Clark.
Mayra Rameriez gains the Blues a third goal with a shot from35 yards out and flying straight past Olivia Clark, who is off her line, and into the goal.
Erin Cuthbert takes a shot on goal which rebounds off the goalkeeper and unfortunately shot into the back of the net by Twente number 5, Knol resulting in a fourth for Chelsea.

We start the second half with Chelsea kicking us off back into matchday five of the Champions League.
Chelsea starts off the scoring for the second half with a headerfrom half time substitute, Sjoeke Nusken in the 46th minutefrom a lofted ball by Maika Hamano.
Half time substitute, Guro Reiten attempts to gain Chelseatheir second of the half but her shot goes too far wide and glides past the net.
Aggie Beever-Jones attempts to add to the score, but her shot is too far to the right and just misses the goal.
Maika Hamano takes another attempt on goal, but her shot is just too high and flies over the crossbar
Nusken makes an attempt to gain her second of the night, but her shot is blocked by Olivia Clark and rebounded away.
Chelsea gains a sixth with a right footed shot just 10 yards out, from French international, Eve Perriset
Maika Hamano threads another through ball towards Aggie Beever-Jones, who waltzes past one defender before being stopped by another.
Guro Reiten makes an attempt to gain a seventh for The Blues with a lofted shot towards goal but fails to find a player to connect with.
